Happily Ever After Tony and June Ventura

Happily Ever After
Tony and June Ventura

We live in an age of broken homes,
Broken hearts and broken dreams;
How wonderful to find a godly couple,
Who held hands ‘til life’s final scene.

They met in the Navy,
Shipmates, in love for life;
Off on this great journey,
Under the Captain as husband and wife.

Their ship sailed on life’s waters,
For an amazing sixty-six years;
With children and family as crew,
On the waves of faith and prayer.

In love with one another,
They worshipped and served as one;
Through age and illness joined,
‘til the final port was won.

Just a comma paused their deaths,
As a fairy tale might have close;
Living Happily Ever After –
As Christians, the destiny chose.

God, who knows all hearts,
Knew their reunion would be soon;
Young again together in glory,
The couple, Tony and June.

Sixty Years

Sixty Years

There is within this age
Of broken promises, homes and hearts;
An example set before us,
That the Thomas Couple imparts.

Sixty years of living and loving,
Three score celebrated today;
Grafted in with God Himself,
Upon the cake display.

Not many can say the same,
With their Bride in clasp hand;
The Groom holds tightly,
His woman and he her man.

Sixty years passed so quickly,
In sickness and in health;
For richer and for poorer,
With each other, they have wealth.

Bill and Charlene Thomas,
Together you pose as one;
Never fear the future,
The best is yet to come!
