A NEW NURSERY
He lay there quietly in his little bed,
while angels hovered above his head,
He never cried, though he hurt so much,
but ho so enjoyed Mommies touch.
Then she would whisper in his ear,
“I love you, baby,” through broken tears.
Dad would rock him in the chair,
as only a father and son could share.
All was good in this home of love,
but things weren’t complete in heaven above.
There was needed an infant flower,
to show the angels of God’s great power.
So Colt was called from where he lay,
to heavens nursery to forever stay.
With promise made, you’ll hurt no more,
in a breath, he went through death’s door.
But he’s not hurting and don’t be too sad,
praise God for the short time we had.
And if you listen with your heart,
you’ll find relief for this time apart.
For there in heaven away from har,
Colt is sleeping in the Saviors arms.
And though God won’t send him back to you,
We can join him there when our life is through.
We’ll miss you baby till that day is here
but know you’re safe in the Master’s care.
