From the time that he was born,
And was held in his parent’s arms;
Pictures were taken of David,
Unfolding the Dossey yarn.
The little boy with cherub smile,
Or the young man in daily life;
The student and teacher beginning,
Then the pictures with Sharon his wife.
Pictures of a father and children,
Each year they add a few;
Pictures in the Year Book,
Of a man who lived life through.
Pictures setting in a classroom,
Or coaching the kid’s ball team;
Pictures at holiday gatherings,
Just living the American Dream.
Pictures in the Year Book of Life,
Are clipped and pasted in;
The next picture taken in Glory
Of a handsome tall young man.
The Year Book’s final entry
Just mean an eternal pose;
David’s new life is there in Heaaven,
A picture which our God chose.
